Neil Wilde Biography

Born to rock and roll loving parent’s, in the cold December of 1958 Neil’s Mother and Father Joan and Barry where winning a dance competition and instilling a rhythm into there unborn child Yes Neil Wilde was rocking before he was born 14th Jan 1959 Morley Yorkshire, Neil’s Mother and Father say that Neil was walking and talking at 8 months old The family doctor declared Neil as the gift of the gab,
He was playing the harmonica at the age of 2, He took up the violin at the age of 6,
Age 12: played guitar wrote songs and sang with the moor-side-Christian youth organization.
performing at old people’s homes prisons and Churches. Neil was a born entertainer. Age 14: Neil Played guitar and sang an original song at Butlins holiday camp for 2000 people, Age 14: Neil started his first band playing guitar at local youth clubs, Age 15: Neil’s parent’s bought his first piano for 13 pounds (with a stool)
Age 16: Neil Started playing piano professionally with (20 Flight Rock) rock n roll Band, Age 17: Neil formed is own first professional band (Let the good times roll)
Playing at rock and roll pubs clubs and Festivals all around the UK. Age 19:1979 Neil’s First Tour to Norway, Oslo Kristiansand Stavanger Bergen (Let the good times roll) and again in 1982 under the name of the Rebble Rousers,Touring around the UK and Europe until going solo in 1986
1986: Toured the Middle east with Showaddywaddy. Dubi, Abudabi, Bahrain, Doha
From 1987 until 1994 Neil played and helped create the concept of piano bars (world wide)

1991: Neil bought his first house in Norway and became a resident. 1992: Neil became friends with Tony Burton (song writer and DJ) which lead to a great friendship and many great new songs been written. 1994: Neil Formed his first band in Norway (The Blue Masters) Playing for dancers all over Norway and Performing on 3 national TV shows. Jan 1998: Neil was admitted to Stavanger hospital with a heart attack 5 weeks later Neil’s back on the road, performing and preparing a one man show Like everything else Neil does perfection
is of up most importance. June 1998 a euro tour on The SS Norway cruise ship with The Blue Masters was well received one album was recorded in Trondheim but sadly it was never released due to Difference of opinion and musical direction.
1999: Neil performed on the Rune Larsen TV show

(Larsen Special) using the NRK house band the live audience went wild
1999: Hans Uleberg Friend and (Ex guitarist of Steven Ackles) put a new band together for Neil (The Rockers) great band but doing only a hand full of gigs dew to bad management. Neil was solo again.

2000: and Neil was asked to be a part of the euro trip to Denmark for the Eurovision song contest. All the Norwegian artists that had performed in the song contest in the past performed On board the Steneline Danse boat Neil had 2 performances on that star trip
2002: after playing piano for 27 years it finally came, the sponsorship from Yamaha Scandinavia meeting Neil at Audun Tyldens 10th jubilee. And witnessing Neil’s ability Inspired Vidar to help and sponsor Neil. For 27 years Neil has played Yamaha pianos (only the best)

Over the years Neil Has performed at many Blues and Boogie Woogie festivals around the world Hell blues 2002 was just great with star artists and friends such as Reidar Larsen, Peer Gynt, Dizzy Watson, Axel Zwingenberger, Bob Seeley, Bjørn Berge, Sarah-Jane Morris. playing a mixture of original songs and good old favorites.(Boogie Woogie style) Playing at dance and Blues festivals 2003 was a big success and so with the help of Inge Riska and Håvard Hana at Studio forum Sandnes Neil was able to record a double album. 12 original songs and 12 cover songs the record company was interested straight away. 2004: The CD was out and called WHAT CAN I SAY !!!

2004; Neil returned to his roots after living his dreams and becoming a legend throughout Europe. Happy to be back with family and friends in the UK and still working as an entertainer and teacher, still travelling outside the UK
To perform his own inimitale style of Boogie Woogie and Blues. Neil has always got a few projects on the go, one of which is to tour the schools in the UK with a program to help children understand more about where the music of today came from, a kind of musical history lesson.
